Meet the Owner and Head Chef at Gold Star Catering, The Fabulous Maxine Ball

Maxine is passionate about her business and clients. This shows in the creative menus and excellent standard of buffet catering that she provides for her many clients across North West Lancashire.  

Maxine is the creative force behind Gold Star Catering and is responsible for developing new menus, sourcing fresh, new ingredients and adding that touch of magic to all her food! She works endlessly to ensure that the whole process runs smoothly from your first enquiry to food service. This includes your buffet consultation, menu creation, food preparation, logistics, immaculate buffet presentation and service.

Maxine has in excess of 30 years’ experience in the catering industry and has worked in the hospitality and catering industry throughout the local areas of Lancaster, Morecambe, Heysham and further afield across the UK. She has vast experience of catering work in a range of settings, including hotels, golf courses, corporate settings, entertainment venues, pubs and restaurants.

Maxine is very friendly and approachable. She has a bubbly outgoing personality, and nothing is too much trouble for her when it comes to providing first class buffet catering for her clients’ events and occasions. She can offer pre-set menus or tailor a bespoke menu to your preferences and any additional requirements, including allergens, vegan/vegetarian menus and personal choices.

Gold Star Catering was initially based at The Trimpell Club in Morecambe but has now branched out to offer outside catering at a range of venues and events. She is particularly proud of her efforts at the “Nice n’ sleazy” punk festival in Morecambe where she provided the food for 3 successive years and catered for over 500 festival goers serving a range of delicious meals including tremendous breakfast buffets!
